Old Hen Farms 

I've owned chinchillas for almost 7 years now. I bought my first one as a birthday gift. A hetero beige, named Mystic. She wasn't the friendliest chin but she had a liking to only me. I was the only one who could touch her. Anyone else she would bark and spray on. Since then I have had numerous chins, some rescues and some bought for personal enjoyment. A few years back, I looked into breeding after taking in a pregnant chinchilla from someone on craigslist. After meeting  with an amazing breeder and talking to her for almost a year I decided to stay with keeping them as pets. I have a lot of respect for responsible chinchilla breeders.
